Weekend Review...

This weekend was alot more relaxed than last!
Friday night Mark's sister came over for dinner, they had steak and I had BBQ chicken!
Saturday Sawyer and I hung out til Mark got home from work and than off to Joel and Cassie's we went! They were having a little celebration for there parent's birthday's! Cassie made a yummy lasagna that Sawyer just loved! He had never had it before but after seeing him inhale it, we might need to learn how to make it!
Sunday Misty & Chris came over with Halie, Drew, Lauren (Halie's friend), Alexander and Landon(Karen and Tom's boys)! They had so many kids with them they actually had to bring two vehicles! We had a good time, we spent most of the time in the pool and we grilled some hotdogs and brats for lunch. I wore a different swimsuit than I usually have on and so I got burned there but not too bad!
I am off all this week since the Dr. I work for is on vacation!
Yesterday Mark went to the track so I had to take Sawyer to the Dr., I do not like to do this! I think it is a Daddy thing to do! He had to get one shot, he was a rockstar about it though! He only gained a pound and a half and grew about a half an inch but the doc says that is ok!
When we got home he layed down for a nap and slept for 3 and 1/2 hours! He was a little cranky the rest of the day until Daddy came home! I think he knows he got screwed out of his Daddy day! Oh well, he gets me all week !

A Few More Creations!

Sunday Mark took Sawyer with him to Joel's house so I had some time to myself! So I altered this clock...ok you can not tell it is a clock since it has no hands yet...so use your imagination! The lo was created with the scraps from the clock!

A Couple of Layouts!

One from Sawyer's first trip to the pumpkin patch and the other is the first time he climbed the stairs! The second was really fun to make b/c all the blue arrow are embossed!

Hangin Out!

The last couple days of just been great!

I just love this weather!

Tuesday Sawyer and I went to Lonview lake with my friend Karen so she could take some photos of him! He seemed to do good so I cant wait to get those back! When we got home I had some place to go so Sawyer and Daddy got in the pool! Sawyer will now jump in without holding on to you...and he loves to have his head under the water! Yeah for my little rockstar!
Yesterday we had to wait around for the air conditioning guy to come check out our unit...much to our surprise he got there early! No problems just said we need to clean it! We had no idea you were supposed to clean them! Oh well! Simple fix!
Than since it was such a nice day we went for a long walk! We came home and Sawyer played on his 4 wheeler! He is really starting to get the hang of it! He kinda understands that he has to steer! Of course after that it was pool time!
Rachel Ray always says that if you let your kids cook with you they will be better eaters, so we always let Sawyer help if possible! He loves to stir things, so making oj was a good opportunity!

Sunday!

Sunday Mark's work had a picnic at Longview lake for all the home theater installers. It was nice for them all to hang out in a non-working atmosphere! Better yet I did not hear any work talk (which would have bored me tears!)
They rented a shelter and a couple of boats, had a TON of food, and some games (volleyball, softball, & horseshoes). It was a warm day with a slight breeze and hardly any humidity...darn near perfect!
Sawyer went on his very first boat ride! He really liked all the "wa-wa" but did not enjoy being confined to his seat! Since he was under 7 he was supposed to have life-saving vest on (we forgot ours) and the yellow jacket was the smallest on the boat!
We were there for about 5 hours and he ran and danced the entire time! He was such a little show-off! I was afraid maybe the heat would make him cranky...but he was a little rockstar! His cheeks turned really red...which I am relieved that it was not a sunburn, since I put sunscreen on him twice during the day..but that is it!
After we got home Mark's sister came over for dinner. She needs to create a scrapbook page for a bridal shower so I told her I would help!
I think we were all in bed asleep before 9!

Saturday!

We had such a busy weekend!

One day at a time though!

Saturday I took on a great big challenge...actually it sounds harder than it was!

I watched 5 boys...ages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6! Sawyer, my nephews Kam and Noah, and my friend Karen's boys Alexander and Landon! They were really good so it really was not a big deal! I actually scrapped while they played! We watched a movie, played in the basement, played with toys, and went for a swim! Kam and Noah went home around 6. Before Mark even finished dinner poor Landon had fallen asleep...that was around 630ish! Alexander did not last much longer...he fell asleep when I put Sawyer down at 8!

Karen's boys have out grown this little four wheeler and passed it on to Sawyer! He just goes crazy on it! He has not mastered the art of steering but definitly knows how to crash!

It was an awesome day and my little Sawyerbaby had so much fun playing with all the big kids!

P.S. Sawyer had dropped his popcicle on the chair and I dumped water on it so it would not be sticky...I guess he could not resist puttig his face in it!

Bubble Fun!

One of Sawyer's half birthday presents was a bubble machine. We had never really done the bubble thing before so this was very new for him! He seemed a little confused at first as to what to do but Landon was there to show him!
It is a cool little gadget, you just pour the bubble juice in it and turn it on and out come hundreds of bubbles! Much easier than trying to blow them ourselves, I always seem to drip more juice on me than anything!
We played with it again tonight and he seemed to enjoy it more, he ran around screaming and trying to catch them...and of course that is when the bubble juice ran out!
Oh well...we can get more this weekend.

A Little Celebration!

Yesterday my little Sawyerbaby turned 18 months old! He is just growing so fast, he seems to get bigger and smarter everyday! He is such a good boy! I am lucky that he is mine!

I had to work but when I came home we had a little celebration with cupcakes and presents!
I know most people do not have parties for a half birthday but we do!

Happy Fourth of July!

Yesterday for the fourth we went over to Kent & Amy's to help celebrate Amy's and her little sister's birthday! They grilled some meat and cooked alot of sides, there was a pool for the kids and lots of fun!
Amy had 3 cakes...fudge, ice cream and cheesecake...they were all so yummy! I wish that I had photos to share but like a dork I took my camera but no memory card!
After we came home we had some time to kill before friends came over...so Mark took Sawyer for a ride on the scooter, he stand on the base and holds on to the handle bars while Mark drives, apparently it is great fun!
Sawyer's new obsession is getting in the truck and pretending to drive. It is kinda a pain in the butt...every time we try and go somewhere he throws a fit when we put him in the car seat, since he just wants to get up front. Hopefully this will be a short lived obsession!
Later our friends showed up and we watched lots of fireworks! It was like surround fireworks! They were all around us, and of course our neighborhood just went crazy!
It was a good day!

Deanna Rose!

Yesterday we met up with Kerry and the girls and Amy and the boys at Deanna Rose! We had an awesome weather day!

I had been waiting to take Sawyer...I hoped it would be a place he would enjoy...and he did!

He loved the petting zoo! He had lots of fun petting the goats! It did not quite get feeding them, he ate the food himself! The kids had lots of fun in the playground and splashing in the water! After we were done we had a picnic lunch...it was a great day!

Sawyer fell asleep on the way home (around one) and I had to wake him up at 6!
