Sawyer has a thing with socks. I don't know if he loves them or hates them. I do know that they can not be on his feet. If the shoes are off the socks must be too. When I am putting his shoes and socks on before we go somewhere I put one sock on and must quickly put his shoe on or off the sock comes. What he does his grabs the very end by his toes and just pulls...sometimes he pulls so hard he falls over...but that does not stop him...he just keeps pulling until the socks are off. Than comes the weird part...after all the trouble he goes to get the socks off you think he would throw them down...but no...he caries them around with him until I take them away! A little weird but still completely cute!

It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas!
Carrot Cake.
I love desserts. I have eaten alot of them. I honestly believe I could survive on cupcakes and chocolate.
When I see carrot cake in the dessert section of a menu I get confused. How can something be a sweet treat and have a vegetable in it. It is just wrong. It goes against everything I believe a dessert should be.
But I have heard people say how good this is. Some say the carrot cake with the cream cheese icing is the best cake they have ever had. Still I managed to go 32 years without even trying it.
That was until yesterday. We had a carrot cake brought to my work. So I tried it.
And I was right all along.
Carrots do not belong in cake.

Friday night we went over to check on Jennifer (Mark's sister) to see how she was recovering from having her deviated septum fixed (she is doing great)!
Than we headed over for a visit with Joel and Cassie! Sawyer had fun with Cassie and their 4 dachshound dogs! We had planned on staying longer than we did but we had been kinda late on Thursday night we made it an early night! I think Cassie had really enjoyed hugging and kissing on Sawyer!

In Memory of Carl Wright
Wright, Carl S.
Carl S. Wright, age 60, resident of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S. Raytown Road, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until time of service at the chapel. Burial immediately following at Longview Memorial Gardens. Carl served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1968, was a member of the Grandview VFW Post #9638, loved to hunt and enjoyed woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jeff and Gary. Survived by his wife, Caroline of the home; sons, Steve Wright, Patrick Wright and wife Tracy; stepchildren, Michelle Clayton, Michael Clayton and wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Justin, Sophia and Michael; brothers, Pat, Mike, Darrel; and sisters, Lynn, Cheryl and Elaine. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions made to the Kansas City Hospice.
My friend's Pat and Tracy suffered a terrible loss last week. Pat's Dad lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. It was a short battle for Carl. They have known for a short time that this was going to happen and they spent alot of time with him but I know that there hearts are broken. There is nothing that can be said that will help them heal...but I hope knowing they have the love and support of their friends is a little comfort to them.
Carl you will forever be missed.

Thanksgiving Photos!
This Thanksgiving felt a little strange to me. This year we had it at my Mom's house instead of my aunt's. Also my Grandma was not there. She has been living in a nursing home since the beginning of the year since her health started to fail. My mom planned a nice meal and Mark helped her cook...it all turned out very good...it just felt like something was missing.
As you can see my adorable nieces provided some great entertainment for us all!

Mark's Birthday!
Yesterday was Mark's Birthday!
We surprised him with these photo's I had taken when I had his 9 month photo's done! He was very surprised and happy when he saw them!
Jennifer (Mark's sister) took us to dinner along with Joel and Cassie! We ate at Houlihan's (was not impressed) but we had a good time! Joel had a very cool poster made of Mark at a track day!
Thank you to Kent, Amy, Kam, and No for watching Sawyer for us!
Our Walk Yesterday!
Yesterday Sawyer and I took a walk around the lake by my house (like we do almost everyday)...but yesterday we decided to take some photos! At first he was not thrilled about being in the carseat but as you can tell he cheered up once we got going! I am really going to hate it when it gets to cold for us to go out!
